Roots Run Deep – What a Great Night!
WOW! Thanks to everyone who showed their unwavering support at our spring gala, Roots Run Deep, which brought together more than 370 guests (including nearly 70 alums) to celebrate our new alumna head of school, Mily Pérez, and honor our Chinquapin champions. Your generosity and commitment to our cause were truly instrumental in helping us exceed our fundraising goal!
Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, we raised nearly $365,000, surpassing our initial target! Your contributions are vital to our mission of providing a rigorous college-prep education to highly motivated students from Houston’s under-resourced communities.
Investing in Chinquapin has proven substantial returns:
- Acceptance to a four-year college or university is a graduation requirement.
- More than 85% of our alumni earn college degrees, and more than 30% earn post-graduate degrees.
- All students are on sliding-scale scholarships and are instilled with the responsibility of paying their education forward and contributing to their community. Each student works 45 minutes daily to maintain the school and help offset their tuition.
Chinquapin is entirely privately funded by generous supporters like you who believe in the school’s unique model and mission.
Your support positively impacts our students, and we are immensely grateful. Thanks to your strong financial investment, we can continue to ensure our students receive the best possible academic experience and meet our mission.
