In fact, most families pay only $500 per year for their tuition while boarding, educating and feeding them generally comes with a price tag closer to $16,000. Chinquapin Prep is privately funded, relying on donations from individuals, corporations and foundations. With a shoe-string operating budget of $2.5 million, we rely on our students to create a vibrant educational environment here on campus.

Students are tasked with maintaining all areas of campus, providing them with a sense of ownership by putting something into our institution. Our motto “Quid pro quo” or “something for something” means everyone has skin in the game. Students understand that this educational opportunity requires a lot from them in return.
